It's not always easy to show off when you're small. However, it is possible to use a few effective tricks to look taller. Here are a few clothes to choose from to give the illusion of a longer silhouette.
Opt for high-waisted trousers
High waist trousers are one of the most popular styles of clothing for looking taller for people of short stature. Simply because they give the impression that the legs are slimmer and therefore the person is longer. To ensure this effect, however, it is advisable to wear fairly short tops, i.e. just above the trouser waist. It is also possible to tuck the top in or tie it up, depending on your preference. If you are going to wear a jacket, it should also be fairly short and well-fitting. Since you are small, all long jackets should be banished from your wardrobe. Also, don't wear low-waisted trousers. These cut the leg line, which will only make you look even shorter.
Wear short skirts
Among the many clothes to look taller, short skirts are particularly recommended. This gives you a sexier look and a feeling that you are longer than usual. You can also wear shorts. As long as they are above your knees, you can be sure that it will look different. If for some reason you don't want to wear this type of outfit, you can always wear a longer skirt that is just above your knees. However, prefer pairs of heels rather than flat shoes such as trainers or ballerinas. You can also wear tights if necessary. Also, to stay stylish and avoid being too vulgar, don't hesitate to choose flowing or trapezoidal skirts instead of wearing tight and inappropriate models.
Favour clothes with vertical stripes
To look taller, vertical striped outfits are preferable. Whether it's a dress, skirt, trousers or shirt, vertical stripes are clothes to look taller. Horizontal stripes tend to increase the volume of the silhouette, whatever the morphology. The more wrapped up you look, the smaller you'll feel. To give the illusion of being tall, you need to slim down your body. For this, there is no other pattern than the vertical stripe. This always lengthens the body of the wearer.
